I’ll keep this short insha’Allah. Dreams don’t always come true. I know now that the dream I recently had was nothing more than a sub-conscious hope deep within my soul. I will end my journey as Muslim Scribbler today and move on with a more ‘realistic’ approach to life; I announce my defeat to all the logicians and critics whom I no longer have the will nor the energy to prove wrong. The only person I will never give up for is my child, and for my child I shall move on for his / her benefit without any regard for my fairy-tale dreams.
I just wanted to thank everyone who supported me during this journey; if there ever was a voice that remained constant and true in their support for me, it was the voice of my readers. I thank you all for reading what I had to say when no one else could have really understood if it were to come from my real-life identity. May Allah bless you all, and bring an all-encompassing love into your loves; may your dreams come true.

I’m considering the option to end Muslim Scribbler; I’m currently facing the dilemma of a faded passion to write on the topic I love most (L O V E), but at the same time do not wish to cease the existence of this secret outlet of mine to express my feelings with readers I have grown accustomed to turn to. Again… I just need time to think about this, as I’m in the middle of taking a few big decisions in life.

I was looking today through some stats relating to MuslimScribbler.com; curious to see HOW people find me. Anyhow, one particular reader landed on my page by searching for “How to cure a broken heart?” on Google. haha… truly is ironic given that I myself am trying to figure out the answer to that question.
Speaking of which, I think I figured out the answer to that question yesterday; there is no cure, at most we can patch up our heart with whatever distractions there are in life, deal with it, force yourself to move on, and hope for the better. Read more…
Subhan Allah! How truly worthy of worship our Lord is; I sat here reflecting on simply one of the many functions our brain performs every second. The process of storing both conscious and subconscious events that are both recent, and of a more distant past is truly remarkable and demonstrative of Allah’s Power. Not only are these events merely words spoken, or images seen; incorporation of emotions, visuals, and sounds bundled into a single package encompass a memory. Read more…
What can Love overcome, and what can it not? Are there truly obstacles to TRUE love? I decided to see what the oracle ‘GOOGLE’ had to say on the matter :), and so I typed “Obstacles of love” and hit enter; google as always retrieved hundreds of records if felt were relevant to my query. One result in particular caught my attention; “What obstacles can love overcome” was the title, a question rather that a person decided to ask on Yahoo! Answers.

Assalamu alaikom readers,
On the 1st of September (2008) I began documenting a personal journey in pursuit of love with a particular woman, although that journey began long before I began documenting it (approx. 8 years before), it did come to an end (several ends as a matter of fact). There were plenty of obstacles along the road, and despite my determination and energy to face whatever came our way, it was not enough to win the love I’ve craved for so long. I’ve mentioned before that my sole purpose and reason for writing was to express my devotion for said woman; with her gone – despite my wasted efforts to continue to write about other topics – I cannot find that same passion to write. In continuation with the Wake Up Project series, this video I’m about to include illustrates the importance of us Muslims having a ‘free’ thinking mind. Allah says time and time again in His Noble Book the following phrases: “hear not?”, “see not?”, “THINK NOT?”.
There have been times where I’ve reached a dead end in trying to heal a relationship, justify an action, clear up a misunderstanding, or simply express my opinion, all because the person(s) involved would not talk to me. However the act of communication does not suffice on its own without all parties opening their minds and hearts. For example, I may sit down and pour my heart out regarding a subject, but if the listener(s) did not truly listen to every word and simply stuck by the conclusion made before ‘listening’ to me, it is pointless.
It should be assumed that communication includes a two-way transfer of messages AND a sincere consideration of all messages for the sake of avoiding oppression. In the end I believe that oppression is a result of ignoring that consideration. Read more…
