More on Signs… Planet Earth

E A R T H… aka Blue Planet… aka Our Home. Subhan Allah how perfectly our Creator molds His creation. We as humans perhaps understate the complexity in ourselves; the design of ourselves as humans probably goes over our heads without much thought being that the topic is about ourselves. However, if we are to look around us at much grander things, such as this beautiful planet we inhabit; Planet Earth.

With all the signs around us on how balanced life here is, how perfect our ecosystems run, and how macro of a creation Earth is, how could someone deny the existence of a Superior Power and believe in pure ‘chance’, “that it is all a coincidence”. Read more…

Strength of Men

912365_face_of_an_old_man_02Allah has created the man to be a strong creature; physical and emotional strength are primarily what men are known for, or rather, should be known for. At times we (men) forget the importance in maintaining that strength which Allah and His messenger (peace be upon him) have spoken to us about time and time again:

  • Verily, Allâh loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure. (As-Saff 61:4)
  • On the authority of Aboo Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him), the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:”The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allaah than the weak believer, while there is good in both. Guard over that which benefits you, seek Allaah’s Assistance, wa laa ta’jiz (don’t lend yourself to things devoid of benefit, and this could carry many meanings), and if something befalls you, then don’t say ‘If I only would have done such and such,’ rather say, ‘Qaddarallaahu wa maa shaa’ fa’al’ (Allaah ordained (this) and He does what He wills), for verily the phrase ‘If I would have’ makes way for the work of Shaytaan.Read more…

Cure for Broken Heart?

Interesting article from the BBC ‘Medics can mend a broken heart‘. Below are some snippets:

US researchers studied 70 patients with “broken heart syndrome”, a recognised condition linked to stressful or emotional events.

All these patients recovered, most after being given aspirin or heart drugs, even though 20% were deemed critically ill.

Even though symptoms mimic those of a heart attack such as chest pain and shortness of breath, broken heart syndrome does appear to be temporary and completely reversible – if treated quickly.

Interesting huh? So for all of you broken hearters… take some aspirin… lol

Have We not shown you the signs?

Subhan Allah. Beautiful story about an Australian brother who converted to Islam. Please pay attention to the last 3 minutes of the video.

For our brothers & sisters in humanity who have not accepted Islam, have you not seen enough signs from Allah? For our brothers & sisters in Islam, hold strong and true to this deen.

Destiny

slumdog-millionaireDefinition: an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future.

We as Muslims believe in the Divine Decree of Allah, that whatever occurs happens by the Will of Allah alone. However we as beings are given the freedom of choice by Allah. So if I was to define ‘destiny’ in my own words, I would define it as such: Read more…

My dear fellow Muslims, Assalamu alaikom. I’ve decided to participate in the Wake Up Project by sharing with my readers the hidden dangers of this world; dangers which may not seem apparent to all. Although some of these ideas may seem far-fetched and along the lines of fake conspiracies people have created for “fun”, I bid that you take them quite seriously. Unfortunately the first part has had sound edited by YouTube due to copyright infringement, but I’ve included the second part for today’s post as well… feel free to comment insha’Allah for discussion. The mother of my children

Few days ago we had some family friends over for lunch. It was a nice gathering of close friends, including a young couple with a young child, and lots of talk of weddings to come in the summer. The afternoon was filled with talks revolving around the topics I love most; family, love, children, and happiness. My mind however was fixated on the topic of children, my children, and the woman who I will have the pleasure of sharing such blessings with. Read more…

Who is she?

Last night I laid in bed thinking for a good 3 hours, “who is she?”. I wondered “where is she?”. I asked “what’s her name?”. Those were a few of the questions I could not answer, but I can say the following about her:

She’s a Muslimah
She loves
Allah and His Prophet above all
She loves me unconditionally
She would help raise and love my child as her own
She respects me
She honors me
She supports me
She makes me breathless when without her
She is breathless when without me
She pleases me as I please her
She understands me
She understands me
She understands me
She believes in me
She tells me all the things that bother her
She feels safe with me
She trusts me
She knows and believes that I would die for her
She wants to learn and grow together
She is all I think about
She is my other half and she completes me
She is my queen, my love

She is… my WIFE

So they say…

Another free-style piece of writing… I’ve only got 10 minutes to spare while at the office so here goes:

So they say…

So they say who marries as a teen, fathers a child, and still be clean?
So they say a man can’t be divorced and innocent, it must be him – it must be me.
So they say he’s a Muslim, a talker, a liar, a cheater, how else could it be?
So they say who speaks of love and has a beard? He must be a hypocrite, he must be weird.
So they say love don’t last, it’s only a word, a thing that will pass. Sad ain’t it how they say what they say?
So they say… so they say… such are the things they say.

Divorce Plague

Define: Plague

  • any large scale calamity (especially when thought to be sent by God) (source: Google web definition)

Subhan Allah… (especially when thought to be sent by God). Well although I’m in total disagreement regarding that second half of the definition, I do agree that Allah (the one and true deity worthy of worship) is associated with us in this life, whether it be with blessings or calamities (let me explain before you jump the gun).
